Not all AAAA cuts are equal here: the 50 Back demands a top-1% time among future college swimmers, the 1000 Free only a top-21% one. If your swimmer's event is the hard one, the same letters mean more.
Where the traffic thins out

We don't guess; we query. The ladder values are USA Swimming's official 2025-2028 single-age motivational standards, checked cell-by-cell against the published document (October 10, 2025 revision). Every destination figure is computed from more than 10 million race results — each swimmer's best at the stated age, matched to the college division they eventually joined, interpolated on a P5-P95 percentile grid. The sample is swimmers who reached a college roster (survivors); the figures are distributions, never admission or recruitment probabilities.
